In 2000, Dana Detrick and Paul Clark, the production team behind The Serious Vanity Music Group, embarked on a massive project to bring both emerging artists of the indie world and 80's pop icons together. Like their successful compilation Glue: A Tribute to the Music of Duran Duran, a portion of the proceeds would benefit RAINN, a cause as near and dear to their hearts as the music that had inspired them as children.

The process of taking submissons began and before long they were overwhelmed by the response! What was going to just be a one-album project soon turned into two double CDs full of both well-known hits from the 80's and cult classics. Along with the cover songs, they also decided to include originals by the artists performing on the compilations. It is this promotion of the independent spirit that sets these albums apart from other 80's compilations.
