If you know the source of that quote, you're one of us. Whether you're watching Rankin/Bass holiday cartoons with the kids or with the dog, you remember when pop culture was fun and rockstars were larger than life!

We know! In 2000, we embarked on a massive project to bring both emerging artists of the indie world and 80's pop icons together. Like our successful compilation Glue: A Tribute to the Music of Duran Duran, a portion of the proceeds would benefit RAINN, a cause as near and dear to our hearts as the music that had inspired them us children to have our own rockstar dreams.

The process of taking submissons began and before long we were overwhelmed by the response! What was going to just be a one-album project soon turned into two double CDs full of both well-known hits from the 80's and cult classics. Along with the cover songs, we also decided to include originals by the amazing artists performing on the compilations. We think it's this independent spirit that sets these albums apart from other 80's compilations.

And now, through December 31, 2008, you can own both volumes of Bangs...Sounds of the 80's (each a 2-CD set!) for the price of one CD. This music's been good to us, and we're glad to be able to share it at such a good savings!
