If you first found our site via our entry page, you’ve gotten to see our new behind-the-scenes welcome video for both Serious Vanity Music and Serious Vanity Records. It was of course produced right here in our studio, with our music, our voice artists, and the essence of what we’re about! Check it out and let us know what you think.
When we recently honed our site to be a little easier to navigate, some of the old links got lost along the way. Though they may still appear in Google, they might take you to a non-existent page link, which no one wants, especially us, because we want you to find exactly what you’re looking for! So, if you came searching out “audiobook production”, you can still find it under Authors and Artisans. For “non-broadcast presentations”, you can still find info under Businesses and Educators. And if you have any doubts at all about where you can find exactly what you need, don’t hesitate to email us directly, and we’ll help you with it ourselves.
Advertiser Leo Burnett may be a controversial figure to some, but his speech here, “When to Take My Name off the Door” is hard to argue with from any angle. It resonated so much with us and how we approach creating content, that we had to share. What do you think?
Now, most of the time we’re serving your business, but we want to keep you satisfied in your off-hours, too! Some of the things we love to do are create handmade music and art-related items, as well as share some of our favorite vintage finds. So, it’s no surprise that we’ve set up shop now at Etsy, hub for all things handmade (or just generally spectacular)! Be sure to “heart” our store so you don’t miss out on any new finds or creations. It’s a lot of fun, and we’d love to meet you there!
One of the fun new services we’re introducing this year is web video. We developed this piece for our Serious Vanity Records brand this past holiday season, and thought we’d share it with you as we get ready to create some St. Patrick’s Day memories! Artwork, voice, and production by Dana Detrick, and it’s her tune “Nora” (which can be licensed here).
KC Small Business‘ Kate Leibsle explores what keeps local Kansas City studios thriving in the changing economic current in the February 2010 article Sector by Sector: Rock This Town, featuring Dana Detrick and other mainstays of the Kansas City music scene.
In a podcast that gets to the heart of both Serious Vanity Music and Serious Vanity Records, Jeff Roney interviews both Dana Detrick and Paul Clark on RoneyZone about, among other things, why the next level isn’t higher, it’s “deeper”.
There are some amazing new companies joining our amazing prior companies on the Clients page. Check ‘em out, or even better, get your name listed by emailing us today with your audio needs!
