Indian Summer marks Dana Detrick's first foray into guitar-driven instrumental music, painting a dark hued soundscape from electric and acoustic elements fusing with deep beats and crisp effects. It's as much a suitable soundtrack for a cool Autumn day with a good book as it is for mood music on All Hallow's Eve.

What is a Retribution Girl? The conclusion to be drawn from Dana Detrick's twelve song collection leans toward a heart that's not so strong it can't be broken, but with a spirit that won't be denied. With heavy guitars and pop hooks reminiscent of idols like Steve Stevens and Vernon Reid, Dana puts more than moxie behind her call to arms for other "retribution girls" (and boys) ready to stand up and be heard!

Post Orgasmic Trauma's Retro Excited tells the tale of a pair of wayward prodigies journeying inward through outer space. The soundtrack stays true to the glam rock roots that inspired the theme, bringing to mind classics by T.Rex, David Bowie, and Mott the Hoople.

Some of Its Parts by Post Orgasmic Trauma represented the random mutations, collaborations, and explorations of a band trying to find its lineup (which, ironically, would eventually lead them right back to being a two-piece). A little progressive, a little acoustic, and lot of glam leanings would foreshadow where these early songs would end up on the upcoming Retro Excited.

The Serious Vanity Music Summer Sampler 2002 was a jampacked promotional offering with just about everyone who was floating around then-SVM studio The Pit at the time: Post Orgasmic Trauma, Paul Clark (aka Tailhook Echo), Dana Detrick, technicolor (later to become Gentlemen Prefer Bombs), kill.pop, and Ready. But most special of all was cover model and studio fixture Heidi Sioux (RIP), whose mew solo toward the end of "Perfect Girl" made this collection even more of a treat!

Three song EP Seedie featured Dana Detrick and her former band Spy Matthews in all of their lo-fi glory, bringing to life pop candy like "Purple Girl" and "Penguin in Sequins", along with Dana's signature ballad "Instead" (which she'd later perform again with Post Orgasmic Trauma).
